We finally broke down and got him a computer of his own. I was tired of being kicked off my iBook all the time so he could go look at construction cranes, or as Morgan likes to call them, tartuta cwanes. Plus, he’s getting his crap and food and drinks and stuff all over it. [...]

When I come home from work these days, Morgan will drop whatever he’s doing and come over to say hi to me. Well, not really say hi, more come over and look me over, searching all around me to see if I have a box or package. If he sees I have a box or [...]

We’ve been showing Morgan a social story about his new school, explaining what’s going to happen when he goes to first grade. The first sentence is “I will be going to a new school.”
A social story is a way of preparing Morgan, or any other child with autism, for something that will happen in the [...]

Morgan recently started calling me Michael.
If I’m making him popcorn and leave, when the microwave beeper goes off, he calls out, “Miiichael!”, and points at the microwave. If he wants me to open a door for him or come over and look at something, if calling Daddy doesn’t work, he uses Michael.

Only two decent pictures came out today for Morgan on his trip to Inflatable Insanity, or “Jumping” as he likes to call it. He did ok today until we had to come home. He was a little rough with Dawn Siau’s little girl, but I think that was accidental. He also kept trying to put [...]

I got a call [...]

We were the first ones there today. Sunday’s jump session started at five. Morgan ran right in and started looking around for people. When he finally saw another child come in he ran over and said “Come on, let’s play!”
One bonus for him was that Joe and Dawn Siau showed up with their adorable children. [...]

Morgan is now interested in local Plano water towers and high tension electrical towers. The water towers must have the big P on them. Authenticity is important!
He gets all excited when we drive by them. Now, I pick my route based on whether we’ll pass any water towers.
Sigh.

Morgan is ready to go shopping. One of the first shots I took with my awesome new digital camera. This is also one of the rare shots of him fully clothed. Normally Morgan doesn’t like to wear clothes. He will tolerate them for going out, but as soon as he hits the door coming [...]

This was a day that truly sucked. This morning I was driving to work. Stopped in the lane next to me was a white van filled with some adults with various mental disabilities. I think they were heading to a job under those work programs for the handicapped. One of them was rocking back and [...]
