Very angry indeed! I would tape the meeting, I really think about contacting a lawyer and the possibility of sueing the living bejeezums out of em. I'd definately need some decompression time before talking to the school because I would be very confrontational. I believe what they did was criminal negligance. The possible outcomes of this scenario are truely terrifying to contemplate. As you know I have seen, as a cop, the results of similar incidents first hand and sometimes they were enough to make a veteran puke, cry and go into a cold killing rage. In fact I'm fighting back just such thoughts even now. I could possibly see Morgan getting out of the class and being loose in the hallway or something, but off the school gounds! Then to have the police find and contact you before the school even knew he was missing! And then I must ask did the school even attempt to call you or Anne? This is total B.S.!!!! If the school tries anything but grovelling at your feet and begging forgiveness teach them the real fury of a parents rightious anger! Screw those bastards and give em hell! Record everything on paper and tape. Oh and yes there definately should be a police report on this one. Get a copy of it fast, before some city/state watchdog gets it and "misplaces" it. The times should be of particular importance. How long did it take until they noticed him missing and called the police for example and how long before they contacted you, if ever, etc., etc..
